Time to Walk
At 40 years old, I retired from the company I founded and embarked on a profound personal quest for self-discovery. I delved into various transformative experiences, including Ayahuasca ceremonies, Kambo, psilocybin, long silent retreats, deep meditation, Qigong, and more. Each journey was a deep exploration into my psyche and collectively led me to understand this: My adaptability to change and my ability to thrive amidst chaos are what ultimately shaped the dynamics of my personality and my will to succeed. At this same time—due to my business success—I was inundated with meeting requests from private equity, various individuals, and companies from all types of industries eager for advice and collaboration. The sheer volume was astonishing, and I needed a way to manage it without losing my sanity. Inspiration struck: why not meet at 5 AM? Surprisingly, no one objected. I thought, if we’re meeting this early, why not make it more productive by adding the physical element of walking while talking. The physicality aspect of the walks allowed me to see the potential of helping people beyond just business. These walks became transformative. What started as business discussions quickly evolved into deeper conversations about personal lives, struggles, and dreams. That’s why I say, “Let’s go for a walk.”
