Hell Years
After a year at Cintas, I decided to quit my job and start my own venture. The next day, I walked into my boss’s office and resigned. 360 Services was born and with it began the “hell years,” cleaning grease out of restaurant hoods. my biggest test came early on. It was stadium size—cleaning the RCA Dome in Indianapolis. I arrived at the job, and the head of maintenance asked where my crew was. I had no crew, no plan, and a limited time to complete the job. So, I demanded workers from a temp agency, rented every pressure washer available, and bought every shop vac and hose I could find. I barely stopped to eat or sleep. At the final walkthrough, I was expecting the worst. But with a big smile, the maintenance guy said, “You did an amazing job. We were watching you the whole time. We don’t know how you did it.” The answer: sheer determination.
