Comfort Zones

In the summer of 2024, I met Andrew Kwon, one of the hottest names in fashion. A young New Yorker with South Korean roots, he had already dressed some of the world’s biggest celebrities. I asked if he would bring a New York–Paris style runway to Indiana. Against the odds, he said yes.

We transformed a glass greenhouse on the west side of Indianapolis into something unforgettable: walls of glass overlooking a pond, two long dinner tables joined to form the runway. Guests ate, drank, and talked while models strutted by in gowns that belonged on the world stage. Andrew closed with a keynote on breaking into fashion and breaking barriers.  It was more than a show. It was a reminder that creativity and courage thrive in unexpected places and that you only get bold opportunities when you dare to ask.
